Help Make Our School Zone Safer
If we want change, we have to ask for it.

Windsor Farm has an opportunity to improve how our students safely get to and from school through the county’s Safe Routes to School project. Several families attended the virtual feedback session on April 30, and there are real, proposed improvements on the table.

What came out of that session is that the county needs feedback to decide what gets prioritized - this is where we NEED you.

Over the next two weeks, the PTO is collecting comments and input from our community to submit as a unified response.

Please review the proposed changes and send us an email with any and all feedback and concerns (traffic, crossings, sidewalks, etc.). What should they prioritize and why? How would the proposed changes impact your family? It doesn't have to be fancy or polished - it just needs to be real. They need to know community impact. They need to know what questions we have.

📧 Email your feedback to becca@windsorfarmpto.com

We will also be opening the floor and recording any feedback at the May 12 PTO meeting.

In addition to requesting input from our school community, we'll also be engaging local HOAs and community organizations.

We will be submitting consolidated feedback to the project team and county leaders. Any feedback received prior to May 22 will be included in our submission. If you do send us an email, you will be BCCed on the submission.

If we want more accessible and safer routes to Windsor Farm, we need to speak up now.

PTO Governance Updates
Proposed Bylaw Revisions

The Bylaw Review Committee has recommended a set of revised bylaws to support greater flexibility and strengthen how our PTO operates. The revised bylaws must be read at two meetings before a vote can take place. The first reading occurred at the April 14 PTO meeting. The second reading will take place at the May 12 PTO meeting.

Following the second reading, the proposed bylaws will be put to a vote during the May 12 PTO meeting. Adoption will be determined by a two-thirds vote of the members present and voting.

Elections

Nominations for the 2026-27 PTO Board were accepted during the PTO meeting on April 14. There were four nominees for PTO officers for the 2026-27 school year.

  • President - Becca Liller
  • Vice President - Ale Bennof
  • Treasurer - Angela Colbert
  • Secretary - Kristen Lockett

During the PTO meeting on May 12, additional nominations will be accepted and the 2026-27 PTO officers will be elected. If the revised bylaws are adopted, the Executive Board may vote to add additional officer positions to support the needs of the organization.

We ❤️ Our Volunteers!

Thank you to our volunteers for our April events - including our monthly auditors, STEAM Night volunteers, and everyone who helped with all of the preparations leading up to our Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week!
