Grandparents & Grandfriends Day - March 26

Celebrate Grandparents & Grandfriends Day at Windsor Farm on
Thursday, March 26, from 8:30-10:00 a.m.!

The book fair will be OPEN for shopping during the event!

We know in the past that Book Fair has been hot, crowded, and a little crazy. We are making some changes to the setup this year to try to alleviate the crowds and chaos.

We are all volunteers, and ask that you please have patience with us as we attempt to improve the shopping experience for our Windsor Farm community!

New this year!

We know that there are students whose grandparents or grandfriends are unable to attend, and we want to make sure the day is special for them as well! If your student will not have any "grands" attending, we encourage you to invite them or a special friend to write a message to your student to be delivered during the event.

Deadline for messages is Monday, March 23.

Access the form here: Special Message Submission Form

Additional Volunteer Opportunities
Help Mrs. Pollock with Artsonia!
  • We are looking for 1-2 volunteers to help establish Artsonia at Windsor Farm!
  • Artsonia is an online art gallery where art teachers can share student work digitally, and it also serves as a fundraiser for the art program because families can purchase products with their child's artwork on it

Two volunteer opportunities available:

  • Photographing artwork
    • This can be completed flexibly during school hours

  • Online editing
    • Includes assigning art to students’ accounts, and cropping/brightening photos
    • This can be done from the comfort of your home
Email Mrs. Pollock if you are interested!
Eagle Games

We are in need of one more chair for the Eagle Games on May 8! The Eagle Games are a high-energy event designed to keep participants up and moving! We would love another parent involved in the planning process as the event takes shape. You would be working with the owner of TGA Annapolis, Mrs. Bakke, and Ale Bennof to help plan the activities. Please email ale@windsorfarmpto.com if you are interested!

The Future of the PTO

In order for our organization to be sustainable, we need to plan for the future. But what does this mean?

We know that the needs of our community are constantly changing, and we want to ensure our efforts align with what families and staff need most. So what do you think the future of the PTO should look like? Help us prioritize how we spend our time, energy, and resources by answering this quick, two-question survey.

Strategy Development

Join us on March 10 at 7:00 pm for our first virtual Strategic Planning session! This collaborative meeting will focus on the current strategic plan and the feedback received from our school community.

Agenda:

  1. Welcome and Overview
  2. Why This Matters
  3. Current State Snapshot
  4. Strengths and Assets Mapping
  5. Challenges and Gaps Discussion
  6. Top Opportunity Areas
  7. Wrap Up

The Strategic Planning workgroup will meet three times virtually: March 10, April 21, and May 7.  All are welcome to attend and contribute.

Once the new plan is finalized, we will vote on its adoption at the last PTO meeting of the year on May 12.
